English riding is centuries old.  The hunt seat form of English riding was developed for fox hunting.  It provides freedom of movement and allows for a good feel of the horse underneath you.  We offer hunt seat riding which is the base for jumping.  Our English lesson horses are hunters capable of jumping up to 3 feet.  They are past and current show hunters that have or are competing in Nationally ranked competitions.  The horses are well trained which enables the student to learn comfortably and most importantly, safely.  We prefer all of our students begin riding English to learn a proper seat in the saddle and balance.  When they are ready to advance, they have the balance to go in any discipline including jumping, western, equitation, horsemanship or trail riding.

Our students do well both locally and nationally in English classes.  In 2011, we had three students ranked in the Top 15 with WPSCA on a national level.  They competed in a class where the judges were judging the rider.  We attend Welsh Pony and Cob Society of America shows as well as the United States Equestrian Federation shows.
