Riding lessons are our main service. If you decide you want to show, we will haul a horse to the show for you and assist you during the show.  See Horse Show Fees for rates and services.

We offer training for you and your horse as a lesson.  If you are having problems with your horse and want some professional assistance, we are here to help you.  Brush up for the show season is also available.  The rates are the same as our lesson rates ($35 an hour) for assistance at our farm.  We charge $45 an hour to come to your farm.

We lease some of our horses.  Please talk to us if you are interested in a lease.  Leasing is a good first step towards ownership of your own horse.  You get to feel what it is like to own your own horse without making a long term commitment both in time and money.

We do not sell horses so there is no pressure to buy a horse.  If you decide you want your own horse, we will go with you to look and advise.  There is no charge for this service for our regular students within a reasonable travel distance.  Long distance assistance is 75 cents per mile from our location.

Buying a horse is not an easy endeavor for the average person.  There are many people out there who will tell you anything to sell you the horse.  There are also a lot who will drug the horse when you come to try it out.  It is always a good idea to have an experienced horse person with you or to check out the reputation of the person who is selling the horse.  Don’t be afraid to ask for vet or farrier references.  The old adage of “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth” is not a good one!  There are many “free” horses out there with serious medical issues or mental issues.  When you have to spend thousand retraining a “free” horse, it is no longer a good deal.  An older horse may be a good acquisition in some circumstances.  More on this under Horse Buying Advice.
